Effective June, 2010 the Survey Division of the Real Estate Department has been renamed the Geomatics Division.  Geomatics encompasses the aspects of collecting, disseminating, sharing, managing geospatial information about land, infrastructure and other resources.  This name change reflects the common efforts the disciplines of Surveying, Mapping, Geographic Information Systems, and Asset Management.
